Queer Love Collective was founded in 2022 by Ruby Vaggelas and Sara Bakker, with the goal of creating a project that would support queer artists that are emerging into the art world. We want our exhibitions to provide a platform and a space for artists to show whatever work they want, however they want to show it. In 2024, we are delighted to bring Madi Sherburn to our curatorial team for our upcoming exhibitions.
As current, and previous art students we felt the overwhelm of entering the art world whilst trying to navigate work, study, life and the never ending imposter syndrome. It was this overwhelm that led us to dream of an inclusive and accessible artist community/collective of artists to show art are art. So, we hope that Queer Love Collective is accessible to everyone who wants to share their art with us.
As queer disabled and chronically ill, we are hoping to make accessibility and inclusivity the focus of our upcoming projects in the future (watch this space).
Thank you everyone who continues to support and follow us, we love this little community we have built together <3 thank you for being a part of it.
